Weighted Toys

At Dzign Solutions, we offer a range of weighted toys designed to support individuals with sensory processing difficulties, autism, anxiety, and related conditions. These toys provide deep pressure stimulation that can help with calming, focus, and emotional regulation.

Important NDIS Information:

• Funding eligibility: Weighted toys may be funded under the NDIS as low-cost assistive technology when they are used to manage sensory needs directly related to a participant’s disability. They must be considered reasonable and necessary and included as part of the participant’s goals—such as improving emotional regulation or attention.

• Professional recommendation: An occupational therapist (OT) may be required to assess and recommend weighted toys as part of a sensory regulation or therapy strategy.

• Disclaimer: Weighted toys are not automatically eligible for funding. General recreational or comfort items without a clear therapeutic or functional purpose linked to a disability are unlikely to be covered. Confirm eligibility with your NDIS planner, support coordinator, and/or plan manager.
