Headphones

At Dzign Solutions, we offer a variety of headphones designed to support individuals with sensory sensitivities, auditory processing needs, or communication challenges. Noise-cancelling and over-ear headphones can help reduce auditory overload, support focus, and assist in regulated participation in daily life.

Important NDIS Information:

• Funding eligibility: Headphones may be funded under the NDIS where they are directly related to a participant’s disability—for example, to manage sensory sensitivities (e.g. autism), support communication apps, or enable calm in overstimulating environments. They must be considered reasonable and necessary and align with the participant’s goals.

• Professional recommendation: An occupational therapist or speech pathologist may be required to provide justification explaining how the headphones assist with functional needs linked to the participant’s disability.

• Disclaimer: Headphones are not automatically funded by the NDIS. Headphones used for general entertainment or leisure (e.g. music, gaming) are not covered. Please check with your support coordinator, plan manager, or NDIS planner before purchasing.
